Ketron™ 1000 PEEK is an unfilled, general-purpose grade of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) noted for its outstanding elongation and tenaciousness, as well as resistance to heat, chemicals, and physical wear. In addition to its durability and inertness, which renders it useful in manufacturing instrument and seal components, it is also heavily utilized in the medical, pharmaceutical, and food industries because of its FDA compliance and excellent sterilizability.
The carbon fiber, graphite, and PTFE mixture that makes up PEEK-HPV provides excellent wear resistance, low friction, and high tensile strength. Due to remarkable chemical resistance and mechanical robustness, PEEK-HPV is an excellent substitute for metals like 705 stainless steel, making it superior for applications involving hot water and steam.
