Aluminum 6061-T6
Material Notes: General 6061 characteristics and uses: Good adhesive properties, good acceptance of applied coatings. It is readily available and combines moderate strength, ease of fabrication, and high corrosion resistance. A better chipping ability can be achieved with T8 and T9 tempers compared to T6 temper.
Applications: Aircraft fittings, camera lens mounts, couplings, marine fittings and hardware, electrical fittings and connectors, decorative or miscellaneous. Hardware, hinge pins, magneto parts, brake pistons, hydraulic pistons, appliance fittings, valves and valve parts, and bike frames.
