ASTM D638
ASTM D638 is a procedure of testing adopted for the determination of tensile properties of plastic materials, which gives information for control purposes and for investigational purposes. Accurate results depend on specific material standards, control specimen preparation, testing speed, and uniformity in sample preparation. This method is most effective for measuring the compressive and tensile strength of plastics.
